Please join us on this beautiful hike. The elevation is 6,700 and offers magnificent views of the Cuyama Bad Lands on one side and the breath-taking Channel Islands on the other. While it may be hot down in the valley the air up there is clean, slightly crisper and scented with the smell of the pines that tower over head up to 40 ft. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience this ancient pine forest. We might even get lucky and find the rare snow flower still in bloom. This hike meanders along the ridge line under around and through the trees and meadows. Our journey is approximately 6 miles round trip. We will meet at Nordhoff H.S at 8am. Plan on a full day.
